Tired of waiting…

I got tired of waiting for a moment that never came. I only ever felt worse after drinking, never better. So, here I am, living alcohol-free coming up on six weeks. And, although I have had the flu AND Covid-19 since then, I STILL feel better than I did after all of the holiday parties and drinking that went on this winter. I’ve known for months and months that alcohol no longer agrees with me on any level, but somehow, admitting that fact to myself made me feel old like the party was over – but now I know the party is only just beginning. And I won’t be too hungover or run-down tired to enjoy it.
